It does not matter how long I live in Marbella and the Costa del Sol, some things still surprise the hell out of me. And as I have been spending a lot of time in Ibiza this spring and summer it has been a little like seeing home in Marbella with a fresh eye.

Other than the sudden and massive increase in the number of people that seem to have appeared over night while I was away for a few days, one thing really struck me about Marbella (Puerto Banus especially) when I came back after a short trip to Ibiza. The massive, over-the-top bling slinging and super-human super conscious effort that visitors to Marbs take. TOWIE made “no carbs till Marbs” famous as a slogan. But it seems that they also somehow or other. Somewhere along the line, became the ultimate fashion and styling icons for anyone who visits Marbella, Puerto Banus and the surrounding area.

It seems that no woman of whatever age or physical condition can go to one of the beach clubs in Marbella such as Ocean Club, La Sala by the Sea, or Nikki Beach without six inch platform heels, a designer swimsuit with lots of metal on it (ouch in forty degree sunshine!) and full night-time make-up and hair styling. Together, of course, with lots of shiny bracelets, huge designer sunglasses and a designer handbag large enough to fit a small car.

And no man can appear at the same locations without some combination of steroid enhanced body-builder physique (with every single body hair removed of course) and large and very heavy luxury watch and a car that costs the same to run as a small African country.

Again not an escort. But much more Ibiza.

Ibiza gives a total contrast. It is all about hippy chic and boho style. If you are a guy wearing a clunky luxury watch such as a Rolex you might as well put a sign over your head saying “asshole who doesn’t get it”. If you are a woman, it is shorts and a peasant top with flat shoes or trainers so you can go from the beach to the club and dance all night. And if your are wearing high heels you are either trying too hard or are advertising your wares as one of the lower-end streetwalking escorts who haunt the taxi ranks outside Space, Ushuaia and Pacha.

The same style differences apply to the escorts in Marbella and the escorts in Ibiza. None of my friends who work in Marbella and Puerto Banus could ever go to meet a client in anything other than full nightclub get up. Even at three in the afternoon. The highest of heels, the sexiest and most overt of dresses, full on blatant glamour with no exception unless the client has absolutely specified.

The best escorts Ibiza has to offer, as opposed to their peers who are the finest escorts Marbella can provide are much more low-key in their style. Shorts, ankle boots, (high heels in their bag together with the sex toys!) and much less overtly shouting their sex appeal.

I guess the girls fit what the men are used to being turned on by. Which makes total sense, of course. But flying from one to the other and being very aware of the styling and selling of sexuality is a little disorienting. And tough on the wardrobe!

“Nice” beats “Playboy model” ?

Men who are spending money to pay for the company of a beautiful escort in Marbella do not have the tastes you would think. They would rather pay to meet a girl who is “nice and friendly” than one who has been a “Playboy model”.

The language men like when they are looking for company and the language agencies normally use is totally different. Girls like to use phrases like “glamorous”, “gorgeous”. What men respond to is “nice” “friendly” “kind” “approachable”.

Even real and factual references that you would think would be attractive are not as good as being “friendly”. So one of our ladies who has recently been a Playboy centrefold gets more inquiries when we advertise her as “friendly and nice” and use decent professional photos than when we use her Playboy photos and mention that in her biography.

The same is true of ladies who are Vogue models and porn stars. Wow.

Don’t get me wrong, when a gentleman wants to meet a Playboy model or a pornstar they really want to meet them! But most men prefer to meet a far sexier version of the girl next door. And when we are dealing with elite clients with elite expectations then the rules are different.

Does too great a disparity between a beautiful escort and the client make the financial nature of the date too obvious?

British Girls Are Exotic (?)

Can you believe it? It seems that British girls have become exotic end something of a novelty.

The market seems to be flooded with girls from other nationalities. Not only eastern Europeans, but beautiful Italian and Spanish girls. Of course I also have Scandinavian girls, Russian girls and my lovely South Americans, But it does seem that as there are so few British girls of the right class working here, British seems exotic.

It’s Fun & Games Till Someone Gets Hurt

It’s all fun fun fun until someone gets hurt. And I have written recently about another event which caused problems and made me worried and I just had another. This is most unusual!

Most of the time it’s fun fun fun. I do mean that from the bottom of my heart. The girls enjoy the work and make some money and it’s lovely seeing happy satisfied customers getting exactly what they want; a cheeky thrill and a bit of a ride.

99% of all our bookings go off smoothly and without a hitch. Okay maybe not without a hitch, maybe with the wrong directions, the wrong hotel, the wrong outfits, the wrong price, but in the main it’s incredibly successful and everybody gets what they want.

So I am far from being negative. But as I say, just recently I had yet another problem. One of our beautiful escort girls turned up to see a gorgeous gentleman that she had met before for an overnight stay and as she arrived he paid her the money and all seemed good. So we said goodbye for a few hours and planned to catch up with her at the end date.

However a few hours later I get a panic phone call from her and a strange message from him.

His message leaves word that he needs to return to his boat in the early hours of the morning unexpectedly, therefore he does not want to keep the lady any longer, can he pay less? Of course I say no. He’s paying her time and company and the contract was that she would stay the full time. She seem to still want to stay, so he has to pay irrelevant of how long they actually stay together.

We Are Having A Run On Louisas

Some days you just don’t have enough Louisas.

The season is now really getting into full swing in Marbella. The tourists are flocking in, with 5 million apparently expected over July. And with the tourists come the sexy girls.

So, just another day in the office. LOL.

It was my turn over the weekend to answer all of the calls. For those of you who don’t know, along with our online advertising and PR activities, we advertise in the local Costa del Sol paper.  The paper comes out once a week on a Friday and so it usually produces a flurry of calls from both locals and tourists who want something new and different in the bedroom department.
